2019 Fellowship Students
The club is delighted to recognize the following Ohio State students who were selected to be members of our inaugural Summer Fellowship Program. These students spent the summer interning in New York City at some of the nation’s foremost companies and institutions. The students were selected for this honor based on their academic achievement and service to the university.
As members of the fellowship cohort, the students received a financial stipend, were paired with alumni mentors, and invited to a series of club-sponsored events. This program will return in 2020.
If you’re interested in providing support to a future fellowship student, please visit the club’s fund page to make a gift.

Favorite NYC experience: The diversity in New York City makes me feel at home. There is diversity in food, fashion, and people. It would take approximately 22 years to eat at every restaurant in New York City; ranging from American fast food, authentic Chinese food and dim sum (my personal favorite), to Ethiopian, Greek, and so much more. This summer I have certainly started my quest so that by the age of 50, I hope to be well versed in different foods and cultures.
What I gained from the fellowship program: I realized the value of networking and the resource The Ohio State offers to everyone, as long as you take advantage.

What I gained from the fellowship program: The Ohio State NYC Alumni Fellowship connected me with renowned CBS News journalist, Erin Moriarty. From the first conversation I had with her, I left feeling inspired and motivated. I learned about how she has changed the lives of so many people, including freeing wrongfully convicted and unfairly sentenced prisoners. My eyes were opened to see the kind of impact that I hope to make one day is achievable. Beyond gaining a mentor, a huge financial burden has been lifted off my shoulders because of the Ohio State NYC Alumni fellowship. The stipend alleviated much of my financial stress and made a difference in my overall experience in New York City.
